Joel has a unique inside perspective from hands-on experience in city management and economic development. Joel will help clients to make use of this perspective as he unifies communities in support of public projects. By applying the STELLAR team’s abilities and resources, he maintains professionalism and integrity while assuring on-time, over-goal and under-budget projects.
A Stellar Career
Joel began his career in radio advertising sales and promotions working with a variety of clients, from small businesses to national advertising agencies. After graduate school, he raised over $1million for Boulder County (CO) United Way and then moved into City Management and Economic Development. Joel was the Town Manager in Kersey, Colorado, the Assistant to the City Manager in Hazelwood, Missouri, Executive Director of the Chesterfield Community Development Corporation and the Assistant Director of Economic Development for the City of Clearwater, Florida.
A Stellar Foundation
Joel earned a B.A. in Political Science from Colorado State University and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Colorado Graduate School of Public Affairs. Originally from Chicago, Joel grew up in Colorado, then spent 6 years in St. Louis before moving to Florida. Joel has also been a volunteer for eight different Chambers of Commerce and numerous volunteer organizations. |
