Don Holbrook is a published author through the various professional journals such as the Council for Urban Economic Development Commentary, IEDC Economic Development Journal. He also wrote a monthly feature column for nationally distributed Business Facilities Magazine, has written several economic development pieces in local and regional newspapers and previously hosted a monthly public television show on development issues. He has been featured on numerous radio talk shows related to his field of expertise. He has been interviewed by the USA Today, Wall Street Journal, Canadian Business Magazine, New York Times, Washington Post, Site Selection Magazine, Inside Economic Development and Plant Sites & Parks magazine.

A STELLAR Career
With over 16 years of practical field experience at the executive practitioner level of economic development, Don has been a pioneer in the development of new methodologies such as risk shared investments, technology driven site selection methodologies (the national adopted best practice) and the collaborative legislative economic development policies for growth of industries. He has developed in conjunction with the International Economic Development Council, a national workforce development compendium of best practices, the encyclopedia of economic development terms and practices, and worked in the early stages of development of the national certification test. Don is attributed with creating the first economic development member based portal on the World Wide Web in 1994 and currently has a license agreement for technology applications pertaining to two patent pending economic development business applications utilizing the World Wide Web for a site location methodology. In addition to his background in technology and best practice research, Don has been an instrumental subject matter expert on the development of funding concepts and organizational sustainable revenue models within his industry. He has extensive experience in community funding models, community venture capital, and federal and state collaborative funding arrangements. He has been a successful grant recipient over seven times from the state and federal government in the past ten years, raising millions in matched funds for community based organizations.
