Serving Stellar Clients
Philip has worked on campaigns for YMCAs, Boys & Girls Clubs, a Jewish Community Center, Boy Scout councils, several colleges, hospitals, community theatres, a sheltered workshop, a chamber of commerce, a civic arena, and others. These campaigns have resulted in the successful achievement of goals from $1 million to over $35 million. Also during this time Phil has spent time consulting and leading non-profit groups in strategic and long-range planning, in campaign preparedness, in fundraising potential evaluations and fundraising program development, in volunteer and staff training, and in board development.
A Stellar Career
Philip spent the early part of his career working for a variety of non-profit organizations in a position of leadership in local, state-wide, and regional service. He worked with organizations like the YMCA, Community Centers, United Cerebral Palsy, and the Mental Health Association. Phil holds a lifetime teaching certificate in Health and Physical Education and served for three years as a Special Assistant in Elementary PE in the Kansas City Missouri schools. He worked as the Assistant Director of the Missouri Office of Aging with the primary duties of finance and organization. He also owned and operated a restaurant and a small camp center in central Missouri. Phil has served as the Vice President for Development/Advancement for two small private colleges – Missouri Valley College and Thomas University. Phil has also served as the Director of several camp/conference center facilities for the YMCA, the Episcopal Church, the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, two United Methodist facilities, and served as the Director of the Ghost Ranch Foundation.
A Stellar Foundation
Phil attended George Williams College in Chicago receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Group Work Education. He and his wife Priscilla currently live in Rome, Georgia, and collectively claim ten great children, thirteen wonderful grandchildren, and three exceptional great-grandchildren. |
