Brand New Illinois EDC DuPageBiz Selects STELLAR
With an ambitious new plan and organization to retain, grow and recruit new jobs in DuPage County, Illinois, which is located just outside of Chicago, the newly created DuPageBiz EDC has hired STELLAR Fundraising to conduct a funding feasibility study to measure community support for a proposed $7.5 million fundraising campaign.
The effort is being led by Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Mike Skarr. In a conference call with STELLAR’s executive team, Mr. Skarr pointed to STELLAR’s responsiveness and past successes as key factors in his Board's decision to choose STELLAR over several other national community fundraising firms. “Literally within minutes of contacting STELLAR via email on a Saturday morning I received an email reply from STELLAR Founder and CEO Terry J. Cusack with the information I needed, followed immediately by a call from Terry offering further assistance. STELLAR has continued to be impressively responsive to all our needs and I must have already told about ten people about the level of customer service I’ve received from STELLAR. They stood out head and shoulders above the rest and their selection was an easy choice” said Skarr.
DuPageBiz is a not-for-profit Economic Development Corporation that will operate as a Private/Public partnership initiative and will operate as the only organization of its kind promoting DuPage County. DuPageBiz’s primary objectives are to:
- Support Local Municipal Economic Development Efforts
- Retain and Help to Expand Existing Companies
- Attract New Companies
- Leverage Public and Private Resources
