Ocala takes the next step
 The
Ocala/Marion County
Economic Development Corporation (FL) stepped up to the plate
with a campaign to fund the creation of nearly 1,700 highly paid jobs in
that region during the next three years. A
STELLAR
led feasibility study encouraged local business and community leaders to
launch the campaign.
New Faces
Two news faces appeared on the
STELLAR
roster during the past month.
  Bill
Geringswald brings more than 25 years of experience as a successful
and highly respected business analyst, consultant and author. He'll first
lend his talents to the feasibility study currently underway on behalf of
the Economic Development Council of St. Lucie County (FL).
 Terry
Purdy comes to us with eighteen years of fundraising experience under
his belt. Terry will
 make his first
STELLAR
appearance in support of the
Rome Chamber of Commerce (GA) campaign.
On the horizon
The
meeting and conference calendar provides more opportunities to see old
friends and make new ones in the coming weeks. The
International
Economic Development Council (IEDC) meets next week in St. Louis (MO)
and members of the Southern Economic Development Council (SEDC)
will convene next on October 17th in New Orleans. Both are Stellar learning
and networking opportunities and
STELLAR
will be there.
