Clay County Kick-off

The Clay County (FL) Chamber of Commerce kicked off an aggressive fund raising initiative late last month as the community's "Focus on the Future" campaign got underway.  STELLAR will be on hand to guide the $1.25 million effort, described by one local newspaper as a 'tightly focused five-year marketing plan to change Clay's image as a bedroom or commuter community'.  The Clay County community currently sees about 60 percent of it's work force leave the county for jobs elsewhere each morning and aims to change that imbalance.

Iowa City picks STELLAR!

The Iowa City Area Development Group has chosen STELLAR over several firms to help organize, design, test and fund a bold new regional economic development effort.

Joe Raso, President of the ICAD Group, is one of the rising stars in economic development and STELLAR is privileged to be working with him and the rest of the ICAD Group leadership team.

Another GEM for STELLAR!

Once again a STELLAR supported project has achieved unexpected results.  The Greater Erie County Marketing Group (GEM) has been named to the list of the "Top 10 Economic Development Groups in North America" by Site Selection Magazine.

GEM Executive Director Mark Litten sent the news of this prestigious honor in a recent e-mail message to STELLAR Founder and CEO Terry Cusack.  Site Selection Magazine stands as the premier economic development trade publication in the country.

Looking for a few good men

Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, a long-time involvement of STELLAR Founder and CEO Terry Cusack, has issued a special appeal for male volunteers.  The Nation-wide organization reports, in a special message to current Big Brothers, that thousands of boys across the country are looking forward to being matched with a Big Brother.

Terry's own experience as a Big Brother shows just how rewarding an adventure it can be.  Read Terry's inspirational story of Big Brotherhood HERE

Sweating the Small Stuff

It's no secret that the little details of organizational life can provide some of the greatest problems, and occasionally the greatest potential for embarrassment.  Take, for instance, the recent story of an East Coast chamber that forgot to file some annual paperwork and found itself to be legally non-existent.  Read the whole surprising story HERE .
