Seattle picks STELLAR
There's
something new on the economic development horizon, and
STELLAR has
been tapped to play a key role in its future. The newly reorganized
enterpriseSeattle
has chosen
STELLAR to help shape a bold new regional economic
development strategy for Seattle and King County, Washington.
STELLAR will guide a major feasibility study, and the resultant
fundraising campaign, aimed at enabling the new organization's
re-emergence as a leader in the Northwest. Formerly the Economic
Development Council of Seattle and King County, this new initiative will
allow a greater impact on local ED issues and more effective partnering
with other organizations.
Ocala passes the million dollar mark
Well
on its way to meeting an impressive goal, the
Ocala/Marion County
Economic Development Corporation has announced the passing of the
million dollar benchmark in an aggressive fundraising campaign.
STELLAR's Al Hudson, working closely with local leadership, reports
that the project is well ahead of schedule.
We made it!
We're here! The
STELLAR team successfully made
the move to new quarters in Jacksonville, Florida. The new location
will afford more flexibility for the
STELLAR staff, better communication
with clients and greater effectiveness for everybody involved. New
contact information is below, so please make a note of it.
And by the way...
Another
new face was added the
STELLAR roster as
Holley Haire took
over as Director of Operations and Finance earlier this month.
Holley brings an impressive amount of management and marketing experience
to the team, along with solid financial expertise. She's already
credited with helping to ensure a smooth transition to
STELLAR's
new quarters, as well as better communication among the other members of
the well-traveled STELLAR team.
Good company
STELLAR
founder and Chief Executive Officer
Terry Cusack was in good company last
week as he appeared with PGA legend John Daly to announce creation of a
national amateur golf tournament to be known as the "Championship of Best
Friends". The new tournament will benefit
Big Brothers Big
Sisters of American and will be played in eight cities in its
first year.
Cusack joined tournament spokesman Daly and
founder Frank Keasler, Jr. for the public announcement. The
Jacksonville Daily Record carried full coverage of the event
