Seahawks host enterpriseSeattle kick-off

Qwest Field, home of the Super Bowl bound Seattle Seahawks, was the scene of two celebrations last week; one that sent the locals to Detroit for the big game, and one that saw enterpriseSeattle kick off an aggressive STELLAR managed fundraising campaign.

Under the banner Campaign to Compete and Prosper, the goal of the economic development initiative is to create, retain and recruit 35,000 new jobs for King County, WA and its 39 cities by 2010.  The whole story is just as exciting as it appears to be.  Read it all HERE

"The Seahawks owe a lot of our success to the ‘12th man’,” states Tod Leiweke, Seahawks CEO. “Joining the Campaign to Compete and Prosper is an opportunity to become the '12th man' for our community. The Seahawks encourage others in King County to join us in doing so."

New Indiana regional partnership selects leadership...and STELLAR!

The Northeast Indiana Regional Marketing Partnership has designated new leadership and announced a major STELLAR directed fundraising effort.  Formed just last fall by a consortium of public and private sector leadership, the Partnership is committed to the support of marketing efforts among economic development professionals and communities in the Northeast Indiana region.  Read all the details about this new initiative, as well as about the important STELLAR roll, HERE

Paul Quin joins the STELLAR team

Equipped with a wealth of experience in fundraising and corporate philanthropy, Paul Quin added his considerable talents to the STELLAR roster last month.  Paul will get to work immediately, guiding a far-reaching STELLAR feasibility study on behalf of The Roanoke Valley Economic Development Partnership.  The comprehensive study will test the Partnership's fundraising potential for increasing its participation in international and domestic trade marketing events and to reach out to decision makers considering a business location in this beautiful part of Virginia.

Sanilac County gives thumbs up to STELLAR

The Sanilac County Economic Development Corporation (SCEDC), located in the thumb area of Michigan, has turned to the STELLAR team to help to re-tool, re-capitalize and re-energize this beautiful lake-side community EDC.

The SCEDC, in Sandusky, Michigan is focused on service, committed to progress in the area, and under the leadership of Dale Benish and a host of worthy leaders within the community. “The Sanilac County EDC chooses to be proactive”, said STELLAR Founder and CEO Terry Cusack.  Terry went on say, "Dale Benish and his team are working diligently to offset the ebbs and flows of Michigan's auto industry and deserve much credit for their determination".

The Sanilac County initiative will be supported by STELLAR's Chad Durham.  Chad has extensive experience in emerging markets and community and economic development initiatives.

Georgia College chooses STELLAR

The Coosa Valley Technical College, Georgia's leading technical training school, has chosen STELLAR to test regional support for what will be the College's very first large-scale capital campaign.  We are delighted to be invited by back to Rome, GA where the STELLAR team recently helped the Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce raise well over $2 million to support a bold new economic and community development special initiative campaign.

Under the leadership of President Craig McDaniel, Coosa Valley Technical College provides occupational education and workforce development designed to enhance both community member skills and the economic development of Floyd, Gordon and Polk counties of Georgia.
